One such Schemes, Uttarakhand Cooperative Development Programme (UKCDP) under Central Sector Integrated Scheme on Agricultural Cooperation (CSISAC), is being implemented in the State Uttarakhand. The Scheme aims to promote overall development through cooperative efforts in agriculture and allied sectors including dairy sector.

Uttarakhand Co-operative Development Programme (UKCDP) – Dairy Sector Project is being implemented in the State Uttarakhand by Dairy Development Department, Govt of Uttarakhand and Uttarakhand Cooperative Dairy Federation Limited (Brand Aanchal). About 50,000 small and marginal dairy farmers of the state would directly benefit from the scheme. The scheme is a catalyst towards the vision of “Atmanirbhar Bharat” by creating additional income & employment generation through commercial activities by promoting commercial dairy farming and milk booths in the State.

Assistance provided under the scheme is such that it supports establishment & strengthening of end-to-end value chain i.e. from dairy farmers to the end consumers. The project also aims to connect cooperatives with corporates. The project provides a platform for the convergence of farmers and corporates for cultivating market-oriented produce and thereby fetching increased remuneration for farmers.
