Uttarakhand Cooperation Department Launches Digital Portal and Distributes Appointment Letters to Assistant Cooperative Inspectors
In a significant step towards making the cooperative sector in Uttarakhand modern, transparent, and citizen-centric, a grand event was organized today at the Uttarakhand State Cooperative Union Auditorium, Dehradun. During the program, the Hon’ble Minister of Cooperation, Government of Uttarakhand, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, inaugurated the state-of-the-art online portal of the Office of the Registrar, Cooperative Societies. On the occasion, he also distributed appointment letters to 45 Assistant Cooperative Inspectors (Class-II) selected through the Commission and extended his best wishes for their bright future.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Rawat stated that integrating the cooperative sector with digital technology is one of the State Government’s key priorities. He said that all services related to cooperative societies would now be available online through the newly developed portal, thereby enhancing transparency and expediting administrative processes. This initiative will ensure better services and greater convenience for the general public.
Dr. Rawat further informed that the portal would provide several important services, including registration of cooperative societies, document uploading, grievance and suggestion redressal, nomination verification, annual reporting, audit management, membership-related services, document management, and MIS reporting.
While distributing appointment letters to the newly appointed Assistant Cooperative Inspectors, Dr. Rawat remarked that they are the young ambassadors of a developed India and will play a vital role in extending the cooperative movement to the last person in society. He urged them to strengthen the cooperative network in every block and develop at least one multipurpose cooperative society as a model institution. He added that the Government envisions establishing a “Cooperation Village” (Sahkarita Gram) in every block, and this vision can be realized quickly through their dedication and innovation.
Dr. Rawat also noted that obtaining a first appointment in the hilly regions presents a valuable opportunity for young professionals. He expressed confidence that the newly appointed officers would contribute significantly to the economic and social development of the mountainous areas through their work and innovative initiatives. He further announced that 100 loan fairs would soon be organized at the block level to provide loans to farmers, cultivators, youth, and Self-Help Groups (SHGs). Necessary directions in this regard have already been issued to departmental officials.
Addressing the program, Cooperation Secretary Dr. Iqbal Ahmed stated that the Cooperation Department has now become a department connected with the common people and that its role in strengthening the rural economy continues to grow. He emphasized that the newly appointed officers would make a significant contribution in taking the cooperative movement to new heights.
During the event, Joint Registrar Shri Mangla Prasad Tripathi delivered a detailed presentation to the newly appointed Cooperative Inspectors regarding departmental responsibilities, work procedures, and expectations.
